Due to the recent influx of COVID-19 cases we have some recommendations to help protect against the virus and help prevent the spreading of the virus. COVID-19 can easily be transmitted from person to person a number of ways. The most common ways are being in close contact with an infectious person (this includes 24 hours before they show symptoms), contact with droplets from an infected person’s cough or sneeze and even touching objects or surfaces (such as door handles and tables) that have been contaminated with droplets from an infected persons, and then touching your mouth or face.
To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, everyone should practice good hygiene by frequently washing their hands with soap for at least 20 seconds. People are also strongly encouraged to participate in social distancing behaviours to help slow the spread of the virus. It recommended that you follow government instructions regarding social distancing and gatherings, such as only leaving the house for essentials.
