The Day that changed my life: Upgrade Your Confidence Series

by IBD Medical on September 12, 2023

As part of a 5 week exclusive video series, Glucology is partnering up with Warren Bingham to share a behind the scenes walkthrough into his personal insights and experiences of living with T2D. This series hopes to unite us together as we take you through a now and then journey to provide a lens that will inspire, motivate and at the very least share the assurance that you are not alone.

We know there are daily challenges that come with diabetes management, such as managing your glucose levels and your A1Cs. We want to dig deeper into the context and encourage a healthy discussion around diabetes and the changing perceptions that you may experience along your journey.

In the first episode, Warren talks all things related to the day that changed his life: his diagnosis day. He takes us through the normality of what his life looked like leading up to this day, and how certain events brought him into a GP session that led to unexpected outcomes. After coming back to get some more blood tests done, where Warren discovered his HbA1c levels were fairly high, his GP confirmed his T2D diagnosis.

This video shares a snippet into Warren's thoughts with processing and changing what he once knew about his health, and an overview of where he is currently at with his health journey to inspire confidence. Warren is proud to say that he is a diet-controlled, non-medicated type 2 diabetic. The main message here is to share his overcoming of not letting diabetes dictate his identity and lifestyle.
