My name is Anna Squires and I’m proud to be a representative of the Glucology brand! I’m a 20 year old Missouri, USA native and have been living with type 1 diabetes for over 11 years. I’m currently studying IT Management at Western Governors University and in my free time I love to work out (Pilates is my favorite), take pictures— in front of the camera and behind, and read; my favorite books are self improvement centered because you can never stop growing! I also compete in beauty pageants and hope to represent the diabetes community on the national and international level.
I’m so excited to be working with Glucology because as a type 1 diabetic it’s hard enough to stay organized, let alone find pieces that allow you to look cute while doing it. Glucology allows me to do both of those things! Using the travel case gives me peace of mind knowing all of my supplies are well protected and well traveled.
In 2022 I hope to gain the title of United States of America’s Miss Missouri and to then compete at nationals in 2023. There has never been a national titleholder in any pageant system with type 1 diabetes and I, for one, think it’s time that changes!
I also hope to use my platform to promote diabetes awareness and education in a well designed way to help everyone understand the struggle. I am also working hard at getting my time in range to 100%, although that hasn’t happened yet ;)
I’m so grateful to be apart of the Glucology team and can’t wait to see where this year takes us!
