"Women are like teabags. You never know how strong they are until you put them in hot water... and that's what happened to me" - Keeley.
Today we have Keeley, a mother of 3 children. Her eldest daughter, Layla, is living with diabetes and as a mother to a T1D child, Keeley is a strong advocator for moving the conversation forward when it comes to negative assumptions surrounding diabetes. Glucology asked her 3 questions for International Women's Day to bring to light that these women's value and achievements go beyond being labelled 'a person living with diabetes'. Keeley talks all about the joy of seeing women be independent and how a piece of advice from a nurse to be kind to yourself has helped Keeley stand taller in the face of diabetes.
